For travelers aged 21 and over returning to the United States, the duty-free allowance generally includes one liter of alcohol. Additional quantities may be allowed, but they must be declared and may be subject to taxes depending on the state and federal regulations.
For travelers returning to Canada, the duty-free allowance generally includes 1.14 liters of liquor, provided the minimum absence requirements have been met.

How many cartons of cigarettes can you bring back?
