After breakfast, set out with your local guide to explore one of the Dominican Republic’s most iconic treasures: larimar, a rare turquoise-blue semi-precious stone found only in Barahona worldwide.
Begin the day at a beach where fragments of larimar sometimes wash ashore. Enjoy a scenic walk while learning about the volcanic origins of this unique blue-hued stone.
Next, visit a local artisan workshop, where passionate craftsmen will demonstrate how larimar is carefully cut and polished into jewelry and art pieces. You’ll also tour the small larimar museum, which showcases the geological and cultural history of this Dominican gem.
Late morning is reserved for relaxation at Villa Miriam, a spectacular natural site featuring crystal-clear freshwater pools. Nestled in lush greenery, cascading rivers create natural basins perfect for swimming and rejuvenation.
Return to your accommodation around 4 PM.
Dinner is included at your hotel, overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
DAY 11 – DEPARTURE TO PUERTO PLATA
After breakfast and check-out, embark on a scenic drive to Puerto Plata on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. The journey takes approximately 4 hours, passing through diverse landscapes including mountains, tropical forests, rivers, and traditional villages along the way.
Upon arrival, discover Puerto Plata, a charming coastal city famous for its colorful colonial architecture, its iconic Malecón waterfront, palm-lined beaches, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Rich in culture and heritage, this northern region offers a unique perspective of the country, far from the busy tourist areas of the south.
You will be settled in a 4-star all-inclusive hotel with direct beach access. The rest of the day is free to relax at your own pace and enjoy the resort’s amenities — swimming pools, beach, entertainment, all-you-can-eat buffets, cocktail bars, and tranquil moments under the shade of palm trees.
DAY 12 – PRIVATE DAY TRIP TO CAYO ARENA
After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up for a one-hour transfer to Punta Rucia, where you will board a fast boat heading to Cayo Arena.
This slice of paradise sits atop a vibrant coral reef, offering you plenty of time to explore during a guided snorkeling session (snorkeling gear provided).
Whether snorkeling, sunbathing, or swimming, you set the pace—we’ll follow your rhythm!
Afterwards, you’ll board the boat again to discover the nearby mangrove forests, a serene natural habitat full of unique wildlife.
Upon returning to Punta Rucia, enjoy a fresh fish lunch served just for you.
Following lunch, relax and soak up the sun on the beach until late afternoon.
In the late afternoon, your driver will take you back to Puerto Plata.

DAY 13 – RELAXATION DAY IN PUERTO PLATA
On the eve of your departure, this day is entirely dedicated to well-deserved rest. Fully enjoy your 4-star all-inclusive hotel in Puerto Plata, ideally located between golden sandy beaches and lush tropical gardens.

DAY 14 – DEPARTURE FOR SAINT DOMINGO AIRPORT

Hotel check-out is scheduled for noon, but depending on your flight time, you may continue to enjoy the hotel’s facilities: pool, beach, restaurant, or relaxation areas.
Your private driver will pick you up to take you to Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo, about a 3-hour drive away. The perfect moment for one last dive into the tropical landscapes that have made this exceptional journey unforgettable.
