You’ll begin with around 30 minutes of driving through tropical vegetation, natural trails, and coastal paths. This first part is perfect to get into the rhythm and fully enjoy the buggy experience in the Dominican Republic.
Then head towards the village of Bayahibe, passing through typical landscapes and reaching the edge of the East National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and exceptional natural sites.
Cueva Chicho: Swim in a Hidden Cave
After parking the buggies, a short 10-minute walk takes you to the famous Cueva Chicho, one of the most iconic spots on any excursion in Bayahibe.
This natural cave features crystal-clear water of exceptional purity, perfect for a refreshing swim. Equipped with mask, snorkel, and a provided flashlight, you can explore this unique site and admire the light reflections dancing across the turquoise water.

Authentic Bayahibe & Local Tasting
Back on your buggy, you’ll drive through the back roads of Bayahibe village, far from the tourist areas, to discover a more authentic side of the destination.
A stop is planned for a tasting of local Dominican products in a traditional setting. Depending on the season, you may enjoy specialties such as plantains, cassava, or sweet potatoes, served with local salami and fresh fruits.
A light aperitif is also offered in a friendly atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy this gourmet break. This stop adds a genuine cultural touch to your buggy excursion in Bayahibe.

Natural Spring: Refreshing Break
The excursion continues to a natural spring, locally known as a manantial. This lesser-known spot offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a refreshing break surrounded by nature.
You’ll have the opportunity to swim in its clear, fresh water and fully relax. This stop perfectly complements your buggy experience in Bayahibe, adding an extra touch of nature and authenticity.
Magallanes Beach: Relaxation & Snorkeling
Then head to the stunning Playa Magallanes, a wild beach considered one of the most beautiful in Bayahibe.
Enjoy a swim in the turquoise sea, go snorkeling with your guide to explore the marine life, or simply relax on the sand.
A refreshing drink or light aperitif is served on the beach, allowing you to fully enjoy this moment by the sea. This stop is perfect for taking in the beauty of Bayahibe’s beaches and unwinding after your buggy adventure.
Heart of Bayahibe: Authentic Experience
