Before you can enjoy the white-sand beaches and Caribbean sunshine, there’s one essential step you mustn’t forget: the digital entry form, also known as the e-ticket. This form is now mandatory for all travelers. But when should you fill it out? Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is the E-Ticket Form?
Since April 2021, the Dominican Republic has replaced its old paper immigration, customs, and health forms with a single online form: the e-ticket. It is mandatory for both entry and exit from the country, for tourists and residents alike.
This form includes:
Immigration information (identity, flight, length of stay)
A customs declaration
A health declaration

When Should You Fill It Out?
The e-ticket can be completed up to 72 hours before your flight (i.e., 3 days before departure). It’s recommended to:
Not fill it out too early, as some details (like your seat number) may not yet be available.
Not leave it to the last minute, in case of technical issues or errors that could delay boarding.
💡 Our tip: fill out the form 48 hours before your flight, giving yourself time to correct anything if needed.
What About for the Return Trip?
A second form is also required to leave the country. You’ll need to fill out a new e-ticket within 72 hours of your return flight. The process is exactly the same on the same website.
👉 Each time, you’ll receive a QR code to present at the airport (printed or on your phone).
Practical Tips
Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox; the site may not work properly on all mobile browsers.
Have your passport, flight details, and accommodation address ready.
If traveling with family or a group, you can complete one form for multiple people (there’s an option to do this during the process).
After submission, you’ll receive a QR code by email or download—keep it safe and accessible.
